Application of laser processing in mold industry

In the mold industry processing, the laser can be used in many wide-ranging aspects. To give three examples: laser cutting, laser engraving and laser welding.


laser cutting

It can be accurate to 0.04mm. For high-precision process cutting, laser cutting is one of the first choices. Wire cutting versus laser cutting. Due to the high cost of wire cutting, large consumables, and corrosion damage to materials; while laser cutting has high precision and high speed, many cutting craft gifts and precision workpieces have chosen laser cutting. Laser laser engraving

It is very large for anti-counterfeiting, marking model, marking logo. Compared with silk screen printing, laser engraving is permanent, can engrave depth, and can be preserved for a longer time. It is generally used in many industries such as engraving corporate logos, engraving product models, silicone light transmission, animation engraving and so on.


Laser welding

It is an efficient and precise welding method using a high-energy-density laser beam as a heat source. It has the advantages of fast speed, large depth and small deformation; it can be welded at room temperature or under special conditions, and the welding equipment is simple; it can be micro-welded, and it is needed in bath parts, jewelry, hardware, car parts, heavy industry, etc.
